Numismatics Online

A Welcome From Jake

Let me first thank you for electing to either join in the demonstration of this site, or just for visiting my creation. If you are visiting this site from Cleveland, or are visiting as a result of Cleveland, let me thank you for your support, I only wish we could have more time to discuss numismatics and computers, two of my favorite things!

For those of you who don't know me, I am a 15 year old student from Havertown Pennsylvania, which is in close proximity to Philadelphia or "Philly"! Currently, I am a sophomore at Malvern Preparatory School, also located outside Philadelphia. I have been collecting coins since 6th grade, but only in 9th grade was "my numismatic flare" really lit. Last year, I was the proud recipient of the Original Hobo Nickel Society's Summer Scholarship to the American Numismatic Association's Annual Seminar. The Seminar was not only an opportunity for me to learn and acquire a vast amount of knowledge, but it also gave me a chance to get to know the people in the various fields. After this experience, I could really understand why the seminar is known as the numismatic treasure. I continued with numismatics, and in October 1996, I intertwined my computer ability with my numismatic love!

This site is just beginning, I hope to advance and add more items and scanned coins and pictures as time progresses.

Thanks for your interest, and please remember to e-mail me (Jake@icdc.com), as I like to keep in touch with fellow numismatists, as well as hear their opinions!
